Well here goes another attempt of as the wheel turns here at HRE headquarters. This week we took the Pro Stock out of moth balls and made the trip down to the Cement Palace where the annual DAV fall classic was being held. Seeing all the cars and people was a nice refresher to the fact that if tracks remember that this stuff is about having fun then people will go to spend their leisure money and not look for other things to do with it. We had a blast seeing old friends and hanging out with Dave and Christine Darling again this year which is always fun to do and to Grind on Dave as much as possible as he is truly a great guy and can take any abuse.

On friday team HRE set fast time for the day at 12.55 which made me happy since the car had not been run since april and i was trying to get use to a car that did what I expected it to do. Saturday's qualifing went well with a dead heat between Scully senior at the line. Saturday nights hell on wheels contiued in fine fashion with the annual ram the hell out of each other until u cant walk 500 at the awesome slick track at the Seekonk Grand Prix. Sunday's redraw was another great deal with Darling heckling something at me as i pulled the 1 flag to secure the pole for the feature later that day.

After a lengthy discussion with Mr.Darling it was determined between the two of us that he didnt want to set the pace of the race so I would lead, well that lasted about ten laps and being a man of his word David raced hard on a restart to get out in front which was fine with me as my plan was to save rear tires so off he went. A third of the way through the race not feeling comfortable with my new racing environment i chose to go hunt slim back down and torture him a while in traffic for fun. Then I got the Seekonk thanks for coming down award after winning a restart there was a magic yellow flag which I still say Darling called in on his radio to the tower requesting it! but after that we rubbed some and waved some and it was all good and David got the best of us and won doing a great job.

It is always a blast and now on a sad note the end of my Pro Stock
racing has come as Jake and Chuck Vanada will be picking up the car on saturday, I will truly miss this car and all the fun I have had in it.
